1.Bala's Production
The film is produced by director Bala's B Studios. It is reported that cinematographer Chezhian suggested the director to tell the story to Bala, who readily liked the script and came forward to produce the film. The acclaimed director's recent production venture Pisasu and Paradesi has gone on to become huge hits and winning several awards as well. This has increased the expectations for the film.
2.Sarkunam's direction
Sarkunam made his directorial debut with the romantic comedy Kalavani, featuring Vimal and Oviya in the lead roles. The film received positive critical response and went on to become a sleeper hit. The young director's second outing, 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa', won him the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. Though his next film, Naiyaandi with Dhanush didn't do as well as expected, a lot of expectation is on this film which has Atharvaa playing village guy.
